Backup Power You Can Trust, Serviced at Your Door

A generator has exactly one job: start when the power goes out. The cruel part is that the failure almost always shows up at the worst moment, the first storm of the season, after the unit sat untouched in the garage for eight months. By then, repair shops are slammed and intake queues stretch for weeks.

Our mobile generator repair service solves both problems. A certified technician comes to your home or business with tools and common parts on board, diagnoses the issue, explains it in plain language and completes most repairs on the spot. From stale fuel cleanouts and battery faults to surging, output failures and full pre season tune ups, your backup power gets fixed without ever leaving your property.

Generator Problems We Fix Every Day

Generators fail in predictable ways, and almost all of those failures come from sitting unused between outages. Here is what we see most, and what it usually means.

Generator Won’t Start

The number one repair call, and it almost always strikes right when you need backup power. Usually stale fuel gumming the carburetor, a dead start battery, a fouled spark plug or a stuck low oil sensor refusing to release.

Surging and Hunting

The engine rhythmically revs up and slows down. Almost always fuel delivery: a partially clogged carburetor, dirty fuel filter or degraded gas. Occasionally a governor adjustment or an air leak leaning out the mixture.

Runs but No Power Output

The engine sounds fine but nothing gets power. Typical culprits are a tripped breaker, failed AVR, worn alternator brushes or lost residual magnetism. We test output on site and repair the failed component.

Shuts Down Mid Run

Sudden shutdowns under load usually mean a low oil cutoff, overheating, fuel starvation or an overloaded circuit. We find the trigger rather than just restarting the unit, because the next shutdown happens during an outage.

Hard Starting and Battery Faults

Electric start models with dead batteries, failed chargers or worn starter assemblies, plus recoil starters with broken cords and springs. We test, repair or replace the full starting system on site.

Fuel and Oil Leaks

Cracked fuel lines, a leaking carburetor bowl gasket or weeping seals. Small leaks are cheap to fix today and dangerous to ignore on a machine that runs next to your house.

Root Cause First

What Actually Causes Generator Failures

Most generator problems trace back to a handful of root causes, and nearly all of them grow out of one habit: letting the unit sit for months with fuel in it. Fixing the cause, not the symptom, is what makes a repair last.

01

Stale Ethanol Fuel

Gasoline starts degrading in about 30 days. Ethanol absorbs moisture, separates and leaves varnish that clogs carburetor jets and fuel lines. This single cause is behind most no start and surging calls we run.

02

Dead or Neglected Batteries

Electric start batteries self discharge while the unit sits. Without a maintainer, most are too weak to crank within a few months, which is exactly when the outage hits.

03

Clogged Filters and Carburetors

Dirty air filters choke the engine and varnished carburetors starve it. Together they cause hard starts, surging, black smoke and power loss under load.

04

Low Oil and Sensor Faults

Low oil shutoff switches protect the engine but also strand healthy units when the sensor sticks or oil was never topped up. We test the circuit instead of guessing.

05

Worn Ignition Components

Fouled spark plugs and aging ignition coils produce weak spark, misfires and sudden shutdowns under load, especially on units past their first hundred hours.

06

AVR, Brush and Breaker Faults

On the output side, failed voltage regulators, worn brushes and tripped or faulty breakers are why an engine can run perfectly while your appliances get nothing.
